PBL IX B FOOD SECURITY IN INDIA

OBJECTIVE:The project will motivate students to do independent research by gathering facts and information about lives, historical events and contributions of the Presidents of India.

FEATURES OF PROJECT BASED LEARNING
  •  Fosters active learning by involving students in:
  • Asking and refining questions, asking new questions.
  •  Debating ideas
  •  Making predictions
  •  Designing plans and/ or experiments
  •  Collecting and analyzing data
  •  Drawing conclusions
  •  Communicating their ideas and findings to others and creating artifacts.

Group 1-- Food Security


Group 2-- Reasons for food insecurity
Group 3-- Public Distribution System




Group 4-- Food security during natural calamities
Group 5-- How Public Distribution System functions in India?



Group 6-- Effects on marketplace 


OBJECTIVE OF EACH TOPIC
  • Knowledge on the origin of food, availability, accessibility
  • Reasons for food insecurity
  • Public Distribution System and its functions
  • Effectiveness of Government policy, drawbacks
  • Natural calamity and its effects on crops- people and their life
  • Reflection on the market- Price fluctuation
OUTCOMES--Development of 
  • Friendly relationships with other members and sharing ideas
  • Creativity of the child is brought out
