Science Class X: – Lesson 7 The Manage Phase

(7.1) Process Management:
                List tasks that will be used to manage the process of conducting the learning
Arranging the class room and Junior science lab for the project. Monitoring the preparation for project presentation. Discussion the survey, data collection and questionnaire.

(7.2) Student Preparation:
                Describe how students will be prepared for the project prior to launch. List any specific instruction or tasks that will be needed
The basic idea of the topic will be discussed in the class prior to launch of the project.
The children were asked to consult the Doctor about the diseases , causes and treatment of  endocrine glands

(7.3)  Facilitation:
                Describe how facilitation of resources will be used to enable the students to be successful.
Library resources, Internet facilities to be best utilized for the project.

(7.4) Progress Monitoring:
                Describe how program will be monitored throughout the project.
Teacher and student interaction whenever required.
Conducting meeting with all their prepared reports, survey and the presentation of them in the class . Grading the groups accordingly.

Testing the individual contribution made by the students towards the project. Knowing their role and knowledge of the project. Having a talk with them personally.

(7.5) Re-planning:
                Describe how‘re-planning’ will be used if the project goes off track
M   Make sure that the project is brief and short.
        Report  maintenance  to be checked on day today activities and to find where they went off  the track. As student autonomy has to be provided to enable them to achieve their behavioural changes, there is a risk of the project going off track and hence additional time allowance will be kept in the design of the project for handling overrun within the stipulated deadlines of the overall project.
         

(7.6) Conflict Management:
                Describe how to address problems related to participation, offer approaches to manage other conflicts that may arise.
Monitoring the preparation for project presentation.
Selection of an efficient leader who can manage with all the issues created will be greatly necessary
Students who never contribute towards the project are to be warned in the initial stage itself.

Class X Science Lesson 6 The Review Phase

(6.1)Student Reflection and Evaluation:
                Describe how student reflection and evaluation will be conducted.
Student will present in front of the class-the methodology adopted, challenges faced-facts learned-skills developed-enjoyment of team work-self decisions made-critical analysis- visits and experiences gained- enjoyment .

(6.2) Teacher Reflection and Evaluation:
                Describe how teacher reflection and evaluation will be conducted.
§     Success, challenges, understanding children, building, establishing flexible learning environments, creating contexts for learning, exploring what children learn. Teachers in a preparatory year setting

(6.3) Assessment of 21st Century skills:
                List of 21st century skills in this project and its assessment
§     Research Report: ICT, analysis, correlation , selection of  facts.
§     Survey design: creativity, critical thinking, problem solving
           Model making  : Team work coordination, ICT
§     Photographs: Skill to handle camera- cinematography
§     Charts : Drawing and painting skills. Creativity.
§     PPT -Presentation: ICT , creativity, team coordination, leadership, analysis, conclusion.

Class X Science: Project Plan – Lesson 5 Do Phase

(5.1) Project Launch:
                Describe how the project will be launched, including how goals, expectation, rules, procedures, assessment, and grading will be presented to the students.
The project will be launched with an introduction to the topic in the syllabus for term 1. Students will be grouped into project teams and the project plan and schedule informed along with the work breakup within each team. On completion of each stage of the project, there will be brief meetings with the members of each team separately to track their progress and to advise them of the further plan of action.


(5.2) Artifacts:
                List artifacts that will be created during the project

Any other material prepared by the team during the project



(5.3) Culminating product:
                Describe what culminating product or products are expected to be created during the project and how they will be presented.
The teams will each maintain a resource book of their research material, the survey and questionnaire they prepare as well as charts made, model making during the course of the project . The final project report will also be presented for assessment.



(5.4) Celebrating completion:
                Describe how the students will celebrate when the project is completed.
The students will be awarded a certificate  graded by the teacher on completion of the project.
